Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Automation Engineer to join our team for an onsite position in Missouri. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and implementing automated testing strategies using Cucumber and Java. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cucumber and Java.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand project requirements and identify test automation opportunities.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects and regressions.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Participate in code reviews for test automation scripts.
- Document test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices in test automation.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
- Hands-on experience with Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD).
- Experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in an onsite team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other testing tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Experience with API testing automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms.
