Job Summary
Han IT Staffing is seeking an experienced SEO Lead for a hybrid role in Alameda, CA. This position is crucial for managing and enhancing SEO performance across client web properties, focusing on both technical SEO and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise SEO, experience with CMS platforms like Crownpeak, and a proven ability to drive SEO best practices within development environments. You will be instrumental in transitioning SEO strategies towards Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI Optimization (AIO), ensuring our client stays at the forefront of search engine advancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical SEO & Platform Governance: Oversee SEO performance across client web properties using enterprise CMS platforms (Crownpeak preferred). Create and track SEO tickets for issue resolution, ensuring prompt fixes. Maintain high SEO health scores and website performance metrics. Collaborate with development teams to implement SEO best practices in dev environments before production releases. Ensure correct implementation of structured data, schema markup, internal linking, canonicalization, metadata, XML sitemaps, and site speed optimizations. Conduct regular technical audits and recommend corrective actions.
- SEO Execution (Not Strategy-Only): Execute on-page optimization, including meta titles, descriptions, headers, keyword alignment, and content structuring. Optimize content for search intent, medical/compliance guidelines, and user experience. Drive the implementation of SEO fixes and issue resolution. Work cross-functionally with marketing, compliance, and IT teams to operationalize SEO updates.
- Tool Utilization & Monitoring: Leverage SEMrush and similar enterprise SEO tools for keyword tracking, competitive analysis, technical audits, backlink monitoring, and early detection of SEO issues. Validate fixes in dev environments before production deployment. Establish dashboards and provide regular reporting on SEO KPIs.
- Evolve SEO to GEO / AIO: Lead the transition from traditional SEO to GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AIO (AI Optimization). Adapt content architecture to align with AI-driven search patterns. Implement schema and semantic enhancements to support AI indexing and generative results.
- Content Collaboration: Manage and guide a content author dedicated to SEO updates. Provide keyword briefs, optimization frameworks, and structured content requirements. Ensure SEO-aligned content updates are executed accurately and efficiently. Monitor content performance and iterate for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 6-10+ years of hands-on SEO execution experience.
- Strong, proven expertise in Product SEO/GEO, with a preference for Health and life sciences Products.
- Significant experience with enterprise CMS platforms (Crownpeak preferred).
- Proven track record of maintaining high SEO health scores across multiple websites.
- Deep understanding of Technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, Structured data & schema, and Crawl/indexation management.
- Experience working in regulated industries (Healthcare/Medical preferred).
- Proficiency with SEMrush and similar enterprise SEO tools.
- Experience collaborating with development teams in Agile environments.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate insights into actionable execution plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with large enterprise organizations.
- Exposure to AI search ecosystems and generative search optimization.
- Familiarity with SEO governance frameworks.
- Experience managing junior SEO or content resources.
