About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Okta Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions utilizing the Okta platform. This role is crucial for ensuring secure and efficient user access across our organization, supporting critical business operations and maintaining compliance with security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- IAM Solution Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive IAM solutions using the Okta platform, ensuring alignment with organizational security policies and business objectives.
- Integration & Configuration: Configure and maintain Okta Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and directory services, including seamless integration with Active Directory (AD) and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
- API Development & Automation: Leverage Okta APIs and Software Development Kits (SDKs) to automate user provisioning, deprovisioning, and lifecycle management processes, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Security & Compliance Management: Implement and enforce role-based access controls (RBAC) and security policies to safeguard user access and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Provide expert technical support to resolve complex authentication and authorization issues, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- System Architecture: Design high-availability IAM solutions, incorporating load balancing and failover configurations to ensure continuous service availability.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
- Okta Expertise: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Okta Lifecycle Management, Universal Directory, and effective utilization of Okta APIs.
- Protocol Proficiency: Strong knowledge of security protocols such as SAML, OpenID Connect (OIDC), OAuth 2.0, LDAP, and RADIUS.
- Scripting & Development: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash, along with experience in SQL and REST API development.
- SaaS Application Integration: Proven experience integrating Okta with various SaaS applications, including but not limited to Workday, Google Workspace (GSuite), and Jira.
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required.
- Certifications: Okta Certified Developer or Okta Certified Consultant certifications are highly preferred and considered a significant advantage.
- Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Identity and Access Management, with a strong focus on the Okta platform.

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year
