Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Test Strategy Leader / Product Owner Testing to join our client’s team in Tucson, AZ. This is a hybrid onsite role, requiring candidates to be local to the area. The position is a contract role with a C2C employment type.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies for hardware-integrated systems.
- Function effectively as a Test Strategy Leader or Test Product Owner, driving testing initiatives from a strategic perspective.
- Operate within Agile / SAFe environments, actively participating in PI Planning, backlog grooming, and iteration management.
- Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, focusing on strategic direction rather than tactical testing execution.
- Manage and mentor testing teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with product management, development, and other stakeholders to define testing scope and objectives.
- Make critical decisions regarding testing approaches, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure the quality and reliability of software integrated with hardware components.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, providing clear updates and insights on testing progress and risks.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing, with a specific focus on hardware-integrated systems.
- Demonstrated experience in a Test Strategy Leader or Test Product Owner role.
- A strong background and practical experience in Agile and SAFe methodologies, including PI Planning, backlog grooming, and iteration cycles.
- Proven ability to operate at a strategic and leadership level, guiding testing efforts and making high-level decisions.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills are essential for this role.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with hardware-software integration testing methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and develop effective testing strategies.
- Experience in managing testing budgets and resources.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
