About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Epic EHR Integration Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. This role is essential for ensuring seamless integration and data flow between our Epic Electronic Health Record system and other healthcare applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining interfaces to support clinical and operational workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement interfaces for the Epic EHR system using various integration engines and technologies (e.g., HL7, FHIR, APIs).
- Collaborate with clinical staff, IT teams, and third-party vendors to understand integration requirements and troubleshoot issues.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of interfaces.
- Monitor interface performance, identify potential problems, and implement solutions to ensure data integrity and system availability.
- Document interface specifications, workflows, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations related to the Epic EHR.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing interfaces.
- Stay current with Epic system updates and industry best practices for healthcare integration.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations.
- Assist in the development of training materials and provide training to end-users as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Integration Analyst, specifically with Epic EHR systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and data exchange standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
- Proficiency with integration engines such as Cloverleaf, Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, or similar.
- Experience with interface development, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of clinical terminology and healthcare data models.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
