Job Overview:
Stellar Consulting is seeking a highly skilled SAP EWM Security Developer for a remote position. This role is critical for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security frameworks within SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SAP EWM security architecture, role design, authorization management, and secure system integration, particularly within S/4HANA landscapes. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing the candidate to contribute to a secure and compliant warehouse operations environment from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust security frameworks within SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) environments.
- Configure specific authorization objects to ensure secure and compliant warehouse operations, such as W_EWM_WHN for warehouse number and W_EWM_STOR for storage.
- Manage user roles for warehouse tasks, ensuring access is aligned with specific business responsibilities and operational needs.
- Secure network communications, including the implementation of TLS for Material Flow Systems to protect data in transit.
- Ensure data integrity within SAP EWM, whether operating in S/4HANA or decentralized environments.
- Protect critical RF transactions and secure API calls across integrated systems to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Implement strict access controls for warehouse-specific tasks, including inventory management, goods receipt, and other operational functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures seamlessly into the EWM system.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP security best practices and EWM functionalities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues within the EWM system.
Key Aspects of SAP EWM Security Development:
- Authorization Objects: Development will heavily rely on configuring and managing specific authorization objects crucial for EWM security, such as W_EWM_WHN (warehouse number) and W_EWM_STOR (storage type/area).
- Role Design: Creating and maintaining granular roles that grant appropriate access levels for various warehouse personnel and system integrations.
- Secure Communications: Implementing and managing secure protocols like TLS for critical data exchanges, especially with Material Flow Systems (MFS).
- Data Integrity: Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data within the EWM system, regardless of the deployment model (S/4HANA or decentralized).
- Transaction Security: Protecting sensitive warehouse transactions, including RF transactions and API calls, from unauthorized access or manipulation.
- Access Control: Enforcing strict access policies for all warehouse-specific functions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong expertise in SAP EWM security architecture and design principles.
- Proven experience in role design and authorization management within SAP EWM.
- In-depth knowledge of secure system integration, particularly within SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
- Familiarity with SAP authorization objects relevant to EWM.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)
