Job Overview
Smart Folks Inc is seeking an experienced SAP OTC Consultant with over 10 years of experience to join their team for an onsite position in Addison, IL. This role is crucial for designing, configuring, and implementing SAP OTC processes to meet evolving business needs, from order creation through to final payment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SAP ERP Sales and Distribution (SD) and SCM Sales Order Management, with a proven track record of success in the SAP ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement SAP OTC processes, ensuring alignment with business requirements from order creation to final payment.
- Analyze existing business processes, gather detailed requirements from stakeholders and business groups, and translate these into effective functional and technical solutions within SAP.
- Develop comprehensive functional specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, workflows, and forms (RICEF objects) within the SAP environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in creating detailed functional specifications and maintaining thorough project documentation.
- Exhibit a strong ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical and effective solutions.
- Understand and align SAP solutions with overarching business goals and strategic objectives.
- Create detailed test scenarios and provide support throughout various testing phases, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring a successful go-live.
- Troubleshoot critical production issues and defects within the SAP OTC module, providing timely resolutions.
- Conduct user training sessions and offer ongoing support and guidance to business users on SAP functionality and best practices.
Required Competencies
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in SAP, with a significant focus on the OTC module.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP ERP Sales and Distribution (SD) functionalities.
- Expertise in SCM Sales Order Management processes.
- Proven experience in requirement gathering, functional specification documentation, and solution design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support end-users.
- Experience with testing methodologies and go-live support.
