Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior BizTalk Operations Support Engineer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in supporting Microsoft BizTalk Server in production environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of BizTalk integrations, handling complex incidents, and mentoring junior team members. This is an onsite role requiring strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead production support and monitoring of Microsoft BizTalk Server applications.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex production incidents and integration issues.
  • Monitor and manage Receive Locations, Send Ports, Orchestrations, and Host Instances.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve message failures, suspended instances, and performance issues.
  • Perform message resubmission and configuration changes with minimal impact.
  • Coordinate deployments, application upgrades, and maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with application, infrastructure, DB, and vendor teams.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions.
  • Ensure adherence to SLA, ITIL, and best operational practices.
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and production support documentation.
  • Provide shift and on-call support and act as an escalation point when required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in BizTalk Server operations or middleware support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft BizTalk Server (2013/2016/2020).
  • Solid understanding of:
    • XML, schemas, and integration concepts.
    • BizTalk adapters such as FILE, FTP, HTTP/S, SQL, SFTP.
  • Experience in supporting high availability, mission-critical production systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across BizTalk, Windows Server, and SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Good to Have:

  • Exposure to MuleSoft/AWS.
  • Experience with EDI integrations.
  • PowerShell or automation scripting knowledge.
  • Experience mentoring or leading support teams.

Special Requirements

Onsite role. Requires shift and on-call support. Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).


Compensation & Location

Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Eden Prairie, MN
