Role: Technical Project Manager
We are looking for a technically strong Project Manager / Delivery Manager with prior hands-on experience as a Developer or Technical Lead, who has transitioned into a project or delivery management role. The individual should have deep technical understanding to effectively lead complex data engineering and modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of medium to large-scale data migration and data platform modernization initiatives.
- Drive project planning, execution, and governance across onshore and offshore teams.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, migration roadmaps, sprint backlogs, and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, infrastructure, and architecture teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Proactively identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and design gaps, and define mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate informed decision-making by leveraging strong technical depth and understanding of underlying platforms.
- Ensure adherence to delivery timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.
Required Experience & Skills
- Prior hands-on experience as a Developer or Technical Lead before moving into a Project Manager or Delivery Manager role.
- Strong background in data engineering, infrastructure management, and data architecture.
- Proven experience leading:
- Data migrations
- Data platform buildouts
- Data pipelines, ETL frameworks, orchestration, and streaming data services
- Demonstrated ability in technical project/delivery management for complex, large-scale programs.
- Strong understanding of agile delivery, sprint planning, and execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with modern data platforms and cloud-based data ecosystems.
- Prior exposure to data modernization or transformation programs.
- Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams.
