Job Overview:
INCORPORAN INC is seeking a highly skilled SAP Test Manager or SAP Test Lead to join our client’s team for a long-term project. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of SAP solutions, particularly within the FS-CD, FS-RI, SAP Business Partner (BP), Workflow, and FI-GL modules. The ideal candidate will lead a blended onshore/offshore QA team and drive the implementation of advanced test automation strategies to enhance testing efficiency, coverage, and accuracy. A strong background in SAP modules and the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain is essential for translating business requirements into robust, risk-based QA approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Leadership: Proactively ensure the delivery of high-quality products by implementing rigorous testing practices and establishing clear quality standards and best practices to minimize end-user defects.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a geographically distributed QA team (onshore and offshore), fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Test Automation Strategy: Design, develop, and execute a comprehensive automation roadmap to scale test coverage effectively without increasing headcount. Oversee the creation, maintenance, and reliability of automated test scripts and frameworks, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Test Case Development and Execution: Design, develop, and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Review test cases created by team members to ensure alignment with business goals and functional requirements. Execute test cases and analyze results to identify issues and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Thorough Documentation and UAT Support: Document test case results meticulously, including detailed descriptions of testing scenarios, steps, and outcomes. Present test case results to User Acceptance Testers (UAT) to build confidence in the QA process and testing efforts. Reduce the need for additional testing during UAT by providing clear evidence of comprehensive testing coverage.
- Defect Management: Proactively identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution through collaboration with development teams. Perform root cause analysis of defects and recommend process improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance QA processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing and quality assurance.
- Metrics and Reporting: Define and track key QA metrics, including defect density, test coverage, and automation progress. Provide regular reports to stakeholders on testing progress, quality metrics, and defect status. Team and individual metrics are to be reported on a monthly basis.
Technical Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience as an SAP QA Manager or Lead, with a focus on FSCD, FS-RI, SAP BP, Workflow, and FiGL modules.
- Proficiency with SAP TOSCA Automation Tool and SAP Solution Manager (SolMan).
- Ability to create new test cases, analyze failures, and independently maintain/fix test scripts.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across various SAP teams and comprehend automation requirements.
- Minimum of 2+ years of Business Analysis (BA) and/or Quality Analyst (QA) experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance sector.
- Experience in BA and/or QA application maintenance, enhancement, and Production Support within IT systems.
- Knowledge of SAP BAPI/RFC and integration experience with upstream applications, particularly Guidewire or similar Policy/Claim Administration Systems.
- Proficiency in developing and reviewing test plans, scenarios, cases, scripts, and in bug/defect analysis.
- Experience with SAP ChaRM for release management and coordination with SAP BASIS teams for production deployments.
