Job Description: Sr. Data Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Data Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data engineering solutions. You will work in an agile, DevOps-oriented product model, focusing on data analytics and cloud development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
- 5-7 years of software solution development using agile and DevOps methodologies, operating in a product model that includes designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
- 5-7 years of data analytics experience using SQL.
- 5-7 years of cloud development and data lake experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure. This includes experience with Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, and Power BI.
Required Technical Skills:
- Scripting: Python, Spark, Unix, SQL
- Data Platforms: Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS, Snowflake, Azure Data Explorer. Administration skills are a plus.
- Azure Cloud Technologies: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, and Azure Functions.
- CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform.
- BI Analytics Tool Stack: Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Denodo, and Grafana.
- Clear understanding of Data Warehousing concepts.
- Data Governance and Privacy: Informatica Axon and EDC, BigID.
- Orchestration: Azure Data Factory, Tivoli.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of software solution development using agile, DevOps, and a product model that includes designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
- 5-7 years of data analytics experience using SQL.
- 5-7 years of cloud development and data lake experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Experience with Azure services such as Data Factory, Azure Functions, ADX, Event Hub, and ASA.
- Airline Industry Experience is a plus.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
