Job Opportunity: Sr. PowerApps Developer (Hybrid)

NextGen Solutions Corp, a leading IT consulting firm, is seeking a highly experienced Sr. PowerApps Developer for a direct client engagement. This is a hybrid role requiring candidates local to the DMV area (Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia). The position involves maintaining existing applications and designing, developing, and documenting new projects using PowerApps and the Power Platform suite.

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Contract (5-19 Months+)
  • Work Schedule: Hybrid (3-4 days onsite per week)
  • Client: Direct Client
  • Interviews: Immediate interviews, including an in-person final interview.
  • Rate: All-inclusive rate required (no expense reimbursements).

Role Description:

The Sr. PowerApps Developer will be responsible for engaging with an experienced developer to maintain a suite of previously created applications, as well as design, develop, and document projects using PowerApps and the Power Platform suite. This role requires a strong understanding of modern front-end frameworks, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Power Platform integration.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain PowerApps applications, working independently or within a small team.
  • Design and implement Power Automate Cloud flows, desktop flows, and business process flows.
  • Create and configure workflows, business process automation, and integration solutions using Power Automate.
  • Integrate low-code solutions with external systems and data sources.
  • Maintain a suite of low-code/no-code QuickBase applications, customizing HTML pages using the QuickBase API and interface.
  • Maintain existing data feeds to various third-party vendors and create/maintain new ETL processes as necessary.
  • Manage workload and assist in troubleshooting urgent priority requests.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Applications to prioritize tasks and agree on timelines.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of overall experience.
  • Extensive experience with modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js).
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience in optimizing web applications for performance and usability.
  • Experience with integrating with third-party APIs.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to translate wireframes into functional web interfaces.
  • Experience designing and implementing PowerApps applications (minimum 5 years).
  • Willingness to work onsite 3-4 days per week and attend in-person interviews.

Highly Desired Skills:

  • SQL experience (minimum 6 years).
  • Database design, documentation, and coding (minimum 6 years).
  • QuickBase Application Design and Development (minimum 3 years).
  • ServiceNow Developer experience (minimum 3 years).

Other Requirements:

  • Must meet with the Manager of Applications within one (1) working day of engagement start.
  • Establish processes for resource organization, project tracking, and knowledge management.
  • Complete documentation of processes and work in an annual cycle workplan.
  • Prepare draft and final versions of Program and Project Plans as directed.
  • Access to classified documents, data, studies, reports, and other information may be required, necessitating background and fingerprinting checks.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
