About the Role:

We are seeking two (2) Senior Epic Willow Analysts for a nine (9) month remote contract opportunity. This role is crucial for supporting the design, build, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization of Epic Willow Ambulatory, Inventory, and Specialty Pharmacy functionalities across our health system. You will be a key subject matter expert, collaborating closely with pharmacy leadership, clinical staff, and IT project teams to ensure seamless operations and workflow alignment.

  • Supports the design, build, testing, deployment, and optimization of Epic Willow Ambulatory, Inventory, and Specialty Pharmacy functionality across the health system.
  • Partners with pharmacy leadership, clinical staff, and IT project teams to serve as a subject matter expert for ambulatory and specialty pharmacy workflows.
  • Configures and validates application settings to support safe and efficient outpatient pharmacy operations.
  • Reviews and validates build performed by Application Analysts, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to governance and change-control processes.
  • Coordinates and participates in ongoing operational support activities, including end-user engagement, workflow validation, troubleshooting, issue analysis, and readiness assessments for build changes or workflow updates.
  • Provides user support and training as needed for updated or newly introduced Willow functionality.
  • Collaborates with training teams to develop or update educational materials and assists in delivering training sessions for pharmacists, technicians, and operational leaders.
  • Works closely with pharmacy third-party systems to ensure integration stability, data accuracy, and consistent workflow alignment across the medication-use process.
  • Analyzes the need for system modifications and collaborates with Epic Technical Services, Montefiore IT associates, and third-party vendors to implement enhancements or workflow improvements.
  • Provides advanced application troubleshooting and independently resolves critical application issues, integration problems, or workflow-related defects.
  • Interprets pharmacy end-user requirements to determine optimal solutions within the Willow Ambulatory, Inventory, and Specialty Pharmacy framework, identifying risks, workflow gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluates clinical and operational pharmacy workflows to ensure alignment with patient safety standards, compliance requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Develops and executes test plans for new build, upgrades, medication file changes, order set updates, and configuration adjustments.
  • Documents all testing results and maintains appropriate traceability for regulatory, audit, and change-control needs.
  • Partners with the Help Desk and support teams to address escalated issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable resolutions for application or workflow-related problems.
  • Coordinates vendor or internal stakeholder activities related to hardware, software, interfaces, and integration points impacting the Willow ecosystem.
  • Provides guidance, mentorship, and technical support to Application Analysts and other team members, ensuring consistent and high-quality maintenance of the Willow environment.

Requirements:

  • Must possess Willow Ambulatory Certification.
  • Must possess Willow Inventory Certification.
  • Must possess Willow Specialty Pharmacy Certification.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $50 – $70 per year

Location: Yonkers, NY
