Job Summary:
3B Staffing is seeking a Contract Validation Engineer for an onsite position in Mossville, IL. This role is critical for supporting aggressive power conversion validation programs by executing hardware validation testing in the EPIC Lab. The position is highly hands-on and safety-critical, requiring meticulous data collection and adherence to lab safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute hardware validation tests for power conversion systems in a high-energy lab environment.
- Own and manage assigned validation test plans and schedules.
- Prepare and submit detailed lab test requests, including power levels, voltage, instrumentation, and environmental needs.
- Configure test setups, request and verify instrumentation, and ensure calibration compliance.
- Perform test execution across assigned lab zones and shifts.
- Maintain accurate test documentation, logs, and data quality records.
- Support post-test data analysis and contribute to validation reports.
- Actively participate in and reinforce a safety-first lab culture, including peer-to-peer safety accountability.
- Work onsite daily; no remote or hybrid options are available.
Summary of Qualifications:
- Required:
- Hands-on hardware test or validation experience (software-only testing does not qualify).
- Experience working in a physical lab environment with electrical or electromechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of lab safety practices and PPE requirements.
- Ability to follow structured test plans and execute repeatable validation procedures.
- Willingness to work an early shift (6:00 am start) and participate in split-shift operations.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, scheduled-driven validation environment.
- Strong documentation discipline and attention to data quality.
- BS or MS degree in a relevant field.
- Preferred:
- 2+ years of relevant hardware test or validation experience.
- Experience with power electronics, high-voltage systems, or energy-dense environments.
- Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration tracking, and lab asset control.
- Experience contributing to test reports or post-test data analysis.
- Prior experience in a reputable engineering or validation lab.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $45 – $65 per year (Estimated)
