Job Overview
We are seeking a GIS Systems Engineer with strong experience in Esri ArcGIS and Schneider Electric ArcFM to support enterprise GIS platforms for a major utility organization. This role is critical to maintaining and enhancing systems that support electric and gas operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing and optimizing GIS environments in a utility or infrastructure setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and optimize enterprise GIS platforms including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcFM
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and performance issues across application, server, and database layers
- Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable GIS solutions
- Develop and enhance GIS tools and automation using Python (ArcPy)
- Manage system upgrades, patches, and deployments with minimal operational disruption
- Monitor system performance and ensure scalability and reliability of GIS environments
- Document technical processes, system configurations, and support procedures
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience supporting and engineering GIS systems
- Strong expertise in Esri ArcGIS Suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro)
- Strong expertise in Schneider Electric ArcFM
- Experience working in utility environments (electric, gas, or water) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Python scripting (ArcPy) for automation and system support
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with GIS performance tuning and system optimization
- Familiarity with Agile environments
- Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise GIS deployments

Compensation & Location
Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)
