Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced IBM Mainframe Application Developer with expertise in z/OS, COBOL, and DB2 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe application development, with a preference for experience in healthcare claims processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and mainframe program logic.
- Design, develop, and maintain COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM-based CA-MMIS mainframe applications.
- Perform unit, integration, and regression testing to ensure application quality.
- Utilize test automation tools like Selenium where applicable.
- Develop, maintain, and support applications in the z/OS environment effectively.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainframe applications.
- Knowledge of healthcare claims processing is preferred.
- Proficiency in z/OS environments, including VSAM, JCL, REXX, TSO/ISPF, and Mainframe tools.
- Strong skills in at least one programming language such as COBOL, PL/1, or Assembler.
- Experience with databases like DB2 or IMS-DB.
- Familiarity with transaction processing skills such as CICS or IMS-DC.
- Experience with test automation tools like Selenium.
