Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer with a strong background in MVC frameworks and API development to join Cruise Planners in Coral Springs, FL. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position with a hybrid work model (Tuesday through Thursday in office). The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience, with a focus on backend development (80%) and frontend work (20%). You will be responsible for designing, coding, and maintaining web applications, integrating with various APIs and web services, and collaborating with project leads and QA teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and code applications following specifications using appropriate tools.
- Maintain and modify existing applications, both independently and under direction from senior team members.
- Perform maintenance programming for the existing codebase.
- Perform custom programming as directed.
- Assume responsibility for the ongoing development of assigned tasks.
- Work with project leads and quality assurance through the completion of tasks.
- Develop and integrate with APIs and web services (SOAP and RESTful).
- Collaborate with internal application teams to translate business and technology needs into robust solutions.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4+ years of quality software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience developing PHP/MySQL-based applications.
- Familiarity with MVC architecture (experience with frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgnitor is highly preferred).
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React, or Angular) is important.
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
- Experience working within a version control system (e.g., Git).
- Implementation of varied API and Web Services through the use of REST/XML.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members.
- Ability to interface well with professional service staff and other non-technical members of the organization.
- Experience with jQuery and Bootstrap is a plus.
- Knowledge of Jira is a plus.
- Knowledge of CakePHP framework is a plus.
- Knowledge of React Native is a plus.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $110,000 per year (Estimated)
