Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly technical Oracle Applications DBA with a primary focus on Backend Infrastructure. This role is dedicated to the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) ecosystem and its underlying database architecture. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between traditional on-premise administration and modern cloud infrastructure, specifically within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Note: This is a pure Infrastructure/DBA role; candidates with a Functional Application background will not be considered.
Core Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Maintain and administer Oracle Applications 11i, R12.1, and R12.2 in complex Multi-node environments.
- Cloud & Modernization: Conduct research and development to optimize Oracle EBS deployments on OCI.
- Patching & Maintenance: Execute patching cycles using adpatch and adop (Online Patching). Perform routine cloning of EBS instances.
- Performance Engineering: Diagnose and tune Oracle databases, EBS applications, and Concurrent Programs to ensure peak system health.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage WebLogic components for R12.2, Oracle Workflow processes, and Concurrent Managers.
- Database Security: Implement and maintain high-level security protocols at both the database and application levels, including PSU/CPU and Rollup patching.
- Availability: Manage High Availability (HA) configurations using RAC, ASM, and Standby/Data Guard databases.
- Lifecycle Management: Support code migration, database change management, and data integrity throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Technical Qualifications:
- Experience: 8-10 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle EBS/Apps DBA.
- Upgrades: Proven track record of at least one successful R12.1 to R12.2 upgrade.
- Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Database Expertise: Expert knowledge of Oracle Database 12c, RMAN, and OEM Grid Control.
- Middleware: Deep understanding of WebLogic Server administration within an EBS context.
- Operating Systems: Advanced proficiency in Linux and UNIX environments.
- EBS Utilities: Mastery of EBS-specific utilities, architecture, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Oracle Database or Oracle Applications Certifications.
- Familiarity with Oracle Access Manager (OAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Oracle Internet Directory (OID).
- Experience with Golden Gate and SOX compliance requirements.
- SQL/PLSQL development experience.
- Previous experience leading DBA project teams.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
