Job Title: GCP Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer to join our team. This role involves working with complex data systems, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for performance improvements.
  • Utilize Informatica for data integration and workflow management.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex data issues, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Apply standard software development principles and SDLC life cycles.
  • Work independently as a technical contributor, capable of planning and executing tasks.
  • Respond to technical queries and requests from team members and business stakeholders.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members as needed.
  • Utilize version control tools like Bitbucket.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of complex SQL queries and data warehouse concepts.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL with any Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica Workflows/Cloud.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker within the GCP environment.
  • Expertise in handling structured and unstructured data.
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts.
  • Experience in application of standard software development principles and SDLC life cycles.
  • Ability to work as an independent contributor.
  • Good experience in Bitbucket or any other versioning tool.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Netezza or other cloud data warehouse migration.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform technologies such as Spanner and BigQuery.
