Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe IMS and CICS professional with 8+ years of experience for a position located in Wilmington, DE. This role requires a strong understanding of mainframe technologies and a commitment to a 5-day onsite work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain COBOL programs for mainframe applications.
- Work with IMS/DB and IMS/DC for database management and transaction processing.
- Implement and manage CICS functionalities and programming interfaces.
- Write and manage JCL scripts for batch processing.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operation of mainframe systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IMS and CICS.
- Participate in system administration tasks as needed.
Required Skills:
- Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in COBOL.
- Mainframe Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of z/OS.
- Database Technologies: Expertise in IMS database concepts including IMS/DB and IMS/DC.
- Transaction Processing: Thorough understanding of CICS functionalities and programming interfaces.
- Job Control Language (JCL): Ability to write and manage JCL scripts for batch processing.
- System Administration: Basic understanding of mainframe system administration tasks like data set management and security.
- Must Have: IMS/DB, CICS, COBOL and JCL.
