Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. UI/UX Architect to define and own enterprise UI architecture standards, design patterns, and the UI design system. This role is 100% remote and requires extensive experience with Angular, Tailwind CSS, and building scalable, reusable UI components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile-first and responsive design, and experience integrating with component libraries like PrimeNG. A key requirement is experience with transportation clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own enterprise UI architecture standards and design patterns across all applications.
- Own and evolve the UI design system, including component behavior, variants, states, and theming.
- Establish mobile-first and responsive design patterns, ensuring consistent behavior across devices and breakpoints.
- Drive consistent use of Tailwind CSS with PrimeNG for layout, spacing, typography, and responsiveness.
- Define front-end architectural patterns including application structure, routing approach, and shared UI libraries.
- Translate UX/Figma designs into reusable, scalable, production-ready UI components.
- Ensure UI consistency, performance, accessibility (WCAG), and usability across applications.
- Establish UI governance practices to prevent divergence and ensure scalability as teams and apps grow.
- Review and guide UI designs and implementations for new features and applications.
- Mentor development teams and provide UI architecture guidance and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with Angular and enterprise-scale component-based UI architecture.
- Hands-on expertise with Tailwind CSS and responsive, mobile-first design.
- Experience integrating Tailwind with PrimeNG or similar UI component libraries.
- Solid knowledge of TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and accessibility standards.
- Experience defining and maintaining shared UI libraries or design systems.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and architectural decision-making skills.
- Must have transportation client experience (e.g., Amtrak, public transit, railway, airline, logistics, mobility).

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $170,000 per year
