Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Lead with a strong background in Java development to join one of our client’s teams. This role is crucial for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java, Springboot, Microservices, Kafka, MongoDB, OCP, and Fling. This is a long-term opportunity with a significant focus on client-facing interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical direction and architecture for Java-based applications.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and robust microservices using Springboot and related technologies.
- Utilize Kafka for real-time data streaming and processing.
- Work with MongoDB for NoSQL database solutions.
- Implement solutions on OCP (OpenShift Container Platform).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define and deliver new features.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Ensure the quality and performance of applications through code reviews, testing, and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap.
- Engage directly with the client throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment and satisfaction.
Technical Skills Required:
- 12+ years of application development experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Springboot, and Microservices architecture.
- Experience with Kafka for messaging and event streaming.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with OCP (OpenShift Container Platform).
- Experience with Fling (if applicable, clarify specific use).
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and data structures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven track record of leading technical projects and delivering high-quality software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Additional Information:
This role requires a mandatory face-to-face client interview. The position is located in San Leandro, CA, and is a long-term engagement. We are an E-Verify participating employer.

Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
