Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled .Net Backend Developer with Python expertise for an urgent, long-term contract opportunity in Charlotte, NC. This role requires a hybrid work model, with 3 days in the office per week, and preference is given to local candidates. The developer will be responsible for building internal utilities, APIs, reusable components, and backend services that enhance automation delivery and developer productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utility & Service Development: Design and develop internal utilities, APIs, and backend services using C#/.NET, .NET Core, and Python. Build reusable components, automation accelerators, and shared frameworks. Develop backend services to support dashboards, command centers, and reporting tools.
- Integration & Messaging: Build integrations with enterprise systems, APIs, and automation platforms. Develop event-driven services using Kafka or equivalent messaging technologies. Ensure services meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with platform engineers to align utilities with deployment, monitoring, and security standards. Support automation teams with reusable libraries and integration patterns.
- Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong development experience in C#/.NET, .NET Core, and Python.
- Experience building REST APIs, backend services, and integration utilities.
- Familiarity with Kafka or other event-streaming platforms.
- Understanding of secure coding practices, API governance, and cloud-native design principles.
- Experience with backend services supporting dashboards, command centers, and reporting tools.
- Ability to conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
