Job Description:
This role involves managing and maintaining DataStage server environments, ensuring system stability and performance, both on-premises and in the cloud. The developer will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing existing ETL jobs for performance improvements, troubleshooting ETL job failures, and identifying root causes during migration. They will also monitor job execution, proactively address potential issues, and implement best practices for ETL design and creation. Hands-on experience with DataStage migration or upgrade from on-premises to cloud is required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain DataStage server environments, ensuring system stability and performance (both on-prem and cloud).
- Analyze and optimize existing ETL jobs for performance improvements.
- Troubleshoot ETL job failures and identify root causes during migration.
- Monitor job execution and proactively address potential issues.
- Implement and maintain best practices for ETL design and creation.
- Have hands-on experience on DataStage migration or upgrade from on-prem to cloud.
Must Have Skills:
- Understanding business requirements and translating them into technical specifications for ETL solutions.
- Designing and developing DataStage jobs to extract, transform, and load data.
- Using various DataStage stages (e.g., Transformer, Aggregator, Lookup, Filter) to manipulate data.
- Creating job sequences using Autosys to orchestrate the execution of multiple jobs.
- Experience in Git and knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Python skills and good knowledge of SQL & PL/SQL.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
