Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced RedHat OpenShift & Kubernetes Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining Red Hat OpenShift and Rancher Managed Kubernetes Clusters. This role requires expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, operations, and best practices, with a strong emphasis on building highly available, scalable, and secure container platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift and Rancher Managed Kubernetes Clusters.
  • Architect highly available, scalable, and secure container platforms.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and patch OpenShift and Rancher Clusters.
  • Implement robust logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and EFK stack.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to Clusters, Networking, Storage, and applications.
  • Perform root cause analysis for incidents and provide performance optimization recommendations.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Red Hat OpenShift and Rancher Technologies, providing guidance and support to customer and application teams.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.
  • Ensure strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Rancher (RKE, RKE2).
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and operations.
  • Support mixed OS environments, including Windows and Linux.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Leverage experience with CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in relevant IT roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Rancher (RKE, RKE2).
  • Expert knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and operations.
  • Experience supporting mixed OS environments (Windows and Linux).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as RHCA, CKA, CKAD are a plus.
  • Active participation in the Kubernetes community is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $100 – $150 per year (Estimated)
