Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Azure and Databricks to join our team. This is a remote position open to relocation. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to support our data-driven initiatives. You will work with large datasets, implement data warehousing solutions, and ensure data quality and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure services and Databricks.
- Build and optimize data models for analytical and reporting purposes.
- Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across all data systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure and pipelines for performance and availability.
- Implement data governance and security best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, particularly in the Azure and Databricks ecosystem.
- Contribute to the development of data architecture and strategy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
- Experience with big data technologies and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Scala.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and MLOps.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
- Certifications in Azure Data Engineering or Databricks.
