Job Summary
Valzosoft is seeking an experienced Senior Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) Developer for a remote position based in Milford, OH. This role is crucial for leading the design, development, and migration of ETL solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Pentaho, experience with Informatica ETL systems, and a deep understanding of data integration, workflow orchestration, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing Informatica ETL implementations and code for migration to Pentaho.
- Design, develop, and implement robust ETL solutions using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI).
- Execute and validate ETL processes, including comprehensive unit testing and end-to-end workflow testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues throughout the ETL migration lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Document technical designs, solutions, and deployment procedures with clarity and precision.
- Optimize ETL workflows to enhance performance and ensure scalability.
- Develop and maintain batch processing scripts utilizing Unix/Shell scripting.
- Support automation initiatives and drive improvements in data pipeline efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Pentaho Data Integration (PDI).
- Hands-on experience with SOS Job Scheduler.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and Batch/Unix scripting.
- Proven experience designing and implementing ETL solutions in Pentaho.
- Ability to understand and work with complex data models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to be a quick learner and adapt to new tools and technologies.
Preferred / Additional Skills
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
- Prior experience in ETL migration projects, particularly Informatica to Pentaho.
- Scripting skills for automation and process improvement.
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
- Experience in workflow performance tuning and optimization.
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in ETL development and data integration.
- Proven track record in Pentaho-based projects.

Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
