Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with a strong background in Oracle 18c and upwards to join our team. This role involves managing and maintaining our critical database systems, ensuring high availability, and supporting disaster recovery solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in database administration, system documentation, and supporting clustered and replicated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Oracle databases, specifically versions 18c and newer.
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive systems documentation.
- Implement and manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for databases.
- Support and manage database replication processes.
- Oversee and manage database backup and recovery operations.
- Administer clustered database environments.
- Provide technical support for database-related issues.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure database performance and integrity.
- Monitor database performance and tune for optimal efficiency.
- Ensure data security and integrity across all database systems.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in Database Administration.
- 5+ years of experience in creating, updating, and maintaining systems documentation.
- Extensive experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) database solutions.
- Proven experience supporting database replication and backup environments.
- Experience supporting clustered database environments.
- Proficiency in Oracle 18c and upwards.
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
- This position offers a hybrid work model, with both onsite interviews and potential for hybrid work arrangements.
- Location: Lansing, MI.

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
