Role Overview:
We are seeking a versatile Test Lead with a blend of senior support engineering, change management, and DevOps/security expertise. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability and reliability of newly deployed systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Deployment Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Software Development, and DevOps teams to understand system architecture and dependencies. Review deployment plans to identify potential post-deployment risks.
- Post-Deployment Monitoring and Health Checks: Continuously monitor key system metrics using automated tools and perform daily checks. Analyze application and system logs for errors, focusing on new or recurring issues. Verify that all system dependencies (databases, caches, APIs) are functioning correctly and that configurations are applied accurately in the production environment. Conduct initial security and compliance scans to identify immediate vulnerabilities.
- Incident Management and Reporting: Act as the first point of contact for alerts and anomalies in newly deployed systems. Perform initial troubleshooting, escalate complex problems, and document all incidents and resolutions to build a knowledge base. Provide regular reports on system health and performance to stakeholders. Ensure the change management process is followed by the team.
- Automation and Tooling: Utilize and enhance existing monitoring dashboards and alerting systems. Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive monitoring tasks, leveraging Python proficiency.
- Knowledge Management and Process Improvement: Review and update existing operational processes and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness. Author new documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Propose and contribute to changes in incident management, monitoring, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and system reliability. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base for supported systems. Provide after-action reports after each deployment.
Competencies:
- 6-8+ years of experience required.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Cyber Security principles.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)
