Job Overview:
Flexon Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Java Spring Boot Developer for a contract role with one of their major clients in Plano, TX. This position requires a minimum of 12+ years of total IT experience, with a strong focus on microservice development and cloud integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and integrate microservices using Java and Spring Boot, deploying on AWS cloud.
- Utilize containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with EKS/Kubernetes.
- Build and integrate solutions involving Apache Kafka for messaging.
- Implement REST/SOAP web services and manage data in MongoDB and PostgreSQL/Aurora.
- Apply logging frameworks (Log4j) and unit testing frameworks (JUnit).
- Follow CI/CD practices using JIRA, Git, and Jenkins.
- Design secure APIs with OAuth and SSO.
- Perform performance tuning and coordinate with UI and backend teams.
- Lead delivery in a continuous integration environment.
- Contribute to architectural design and API platform integration (e.g., MuleSoft).
- Debug issues, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure effective communication.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot microservice development.
- Experience with AWS cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Proficiency in Apache Kafka, REST/SOAP web services.
- Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL/Aurora.
- Knowledge of Log4j, JUnit, JIRA, Git, and Jenkins.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices.
- Experience designing secure APIs with OAuth and SSO.
Desired Experience:
- 10-12 years in similar roles.
- Exposure to ReactJS, Marketing Cloud studios.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes.
- Experience with project management tools like Confluence.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. This is a contract position requiring day-one onsite presence in Plano, TX.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
