About the Role:
CT DPH is seeking an experienced, onsite LIMS Subject Matter Expert and Technical Project Liaison for a Clinical Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) implementation project. This is a higher-level position requiring broad and deep expertise in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). The consultant will play a crucial role in supporting consistent communication, interpreting requirements, coordinating testing, and troubleshooting workflow issues within the LIMS environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general LIMS subject matter expertise.
- Support consistent, clear communication across all project groups.
- Interpret and communicate laboratory, technical, and operational requirements to relevant personnel.
- Coordinate onsite activities related to User Acceptance Testing and workflow deployment.
- Record onsite challenges, risks, and impacts, and escalate them to JMC PMs, Lab leadership, and IT as appropriate.
- Assist laboratory personnel as they learn the new LabWare LIMS and transition from the current Horizon system.
- Troubleshoot workflow issues within the LIMS environment.
- Contribute to change management efforts by identifying needed updates to lab practices, system functions, and implementation activities.
- Review JMC project status reports and participate in project status meetings.
- Maintain a fulltime onsite presence to support all project activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a LIMS Subject Matter Expert.
- Proven ability to support clear communication across project teams.
- Experience in interpreting and communicating technical and operational requirements.
- Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing and workflow deployment.
- Familiarity with change management processes in a laboratory setting.
- Ability to troubleshoot workflow issues within a LIMS environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with LabWare LIMS.
- Experience with Horizon LIMS.
- Experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $60,000 – $110,000 per year (Estimated)
Location: Hartford, CT
