Job Description:
We are looking for a Lead SAP PPDS Solution Consultant to join our team. This role operates within an onshore/offshore model and requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience implementing Production Planning solutions, specifically SAP PPDS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling), in the automotive or manufacturing sectors. Experience with the SAP PPDS Optimizer and a deep understanding of E2E Supply Chain processes are crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work effectively in an onshore/offshore model.
- Understand customer business needs and translate them into technical definitions and designs.
- Cascade requirements effectively to the offshore team to ensure timely and accurate work completion.
- Lead end-to-end SAP PPDS implementations from initiation through delivery.
- Configure and manage SAP PPDS functionalities, including interactive production planning, detailed scheduling, pegging, production planning table, planning board, constraint-based planning, model mix planning, and sequencing.
- Utilize the SAP PPDS Optimizer for various optimization scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and business processes.
- Provide expert guidance and support on SAP PPDS best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10-15 years of Manufacturing/Automotive domain experience preferred.
- In-depth experience implementing Production Planning solutions (SAP ePP/DS or S/4HANA PPDS) in an Automotive, manufacturing, or discrete industry is required.
- Deep experience in SAP Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS) capabilities is mandatory.
- Experience with E2E Supply Chain processes (e.g., Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Inventory Management) is desired.
- Experience in Cross-Location Planning, Automated Responses to changes in planning situation, Multi-Level Constraint based Production Plan, Sub-daily Buckets, Telescopic Time Buckets, and Time Dependent Safety Stock is required.
- Experience in Automotive manufacturing or Repetitive manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional social skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels.
- Must have Optimizer experience.
- Experience with either DSC Edition PP/DS (side-car S/4HANA) or embedded PP/DS in S/4HANA, or both.

- Location: Troy, Michigan 48098. 100% onsite preferred, but open to remote candidates in EST or CST time zones who understand occasional travel to Troy, Michigan or Mexico may be required.

Special Requirements
Hybrid role based in Troy, Michigan. 100% onsite preferred, but open to remote candidates in EST or CST time zones with occasional travel to Troy, MI and potentially Mexico. Candidate must have owned and led at least one end-to-end SAP PPDS implementation. Must have Optimizer experience. Candidate must have direct PPDS experience (DSC Edition or embedded S/4HANA). PP or QM only experience is not sufficient. Requires specific answers to 23 screening questions.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $75 – $95 per year (Estimated)
