Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer with deep expertise in Java, Kafka, MongoDB, and AWS, along with strong experience in the Healthcare domain (Provider side preferred). The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that support clinical, operational, and revenue cycle workflows within healthcare environments. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong architectural skills, and experience working in regulated healthcare ecosystems (HIPAA-compliant systems).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end design and development of scalable Java-based microservices architecture.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka for real-time data processing.
- Develop and manage NoSQL databases using MongoDB.
- Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, EKS, etc.).
- Ensure applications meet HIPAA compliance, PHI security, and healthcare data privacy standards.
- Integrate with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7/FHIR (preferred).
- Troubleshoot and optimize system performance and scalability.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in backend development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java (Spring Boot preferred).
- Experience implementing Kafka-based event-driven systems.
- Solid experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Proven experience working with Healthcare Provider systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, PHI handling).
- Experience with microservices architecture and REST APIs.
Special Requirements
100% remote. Must comply with HIPAA and PHI security standards. Healthcare domain experience required (Provider side preferred).
Compensation & Location
Salary: $60 – $60 per year
