About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation QA Engineer with strong expertise in cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in automation frameworks, strong coding skills, and a proven ability to build scalable, high-quality test solutions integrated with CI/CD pipelines. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications, and ensuring code quality and coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications.
- Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, integration, and acceptance testing.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Bamboo).
- Ensure code quality and coverage (targeting 80% or higher) using tools like Sonar and Clover.
- Perform API testing using REST and SOAP services.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Implement TDD/BDD practices using frameworks such as Cucumber and JBehave.
- Work with cloud-based environments, particularly GCP, for test execution and deployment validation.
- Identify, track, and report defects with clear documentation and analysis.
- Ensure application quality, performance, and security compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools: Selenium, BrowserStack, Karate, Cucumber, Bruno.
- Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python.
- Experience with testing frameworks: TestNG (mandatory), JUnit.
- Experience in API testing using: Rest Assured, REST/SOAP services.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools: Jenkins (mandatory), Bamboo (good to have).
- Experience with code quality and security tools: Sonar, Clover, Checkmarx / Fortify.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with mobile automation tools like Appium.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in TDD/BDD environments.
- Knowledge of Spring Framework for backend validation or test setup.
- Familiarity with containerization and cloud-based test environments.
- Exposure to performance testing and security testing practices.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
