Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Incident Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in incident management processes and procedures, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. This is a hybrid role requiring the consultant to be local to Oakland, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage IT incidents to minimize disruption and restore services quickly.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain incident management processes and procedures.
  • Lead and coordinate incident response teams during critical incidents.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
  • Communicate incident status and impact to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices.
  • Collaborate with various IT teams to improve service delivery and incident resolution times.
  • Maintain accurate incident records and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the incident management lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in incident management or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of incident management processes and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
  • ITIL certification is required.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
