Job Title: Data Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Smithfield, RI. This is a hybrid role with a contract duration of 12+ months. Relocation assistance is available, but candidates will need a strong reason to relocate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Develop and optimize data models for various analytical and reporting needs.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across all data systems.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Implement ETL/ELT processes to ingest data from various sources.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Contribute to the development of data governance policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices in data engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or Scala.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Understanding of data modeling techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
