Job Summary
Cambay Consulting LLC is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in MuleSoft and GenAI for a remote contract position. This role is crucial for modernizing enterprise integration systems and leveraging AI-powered automation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, CloudHub 2.0, and GenAI technologies.

The client is a leading organization in the financial domain, focused on enhancing their digital marketing platform through advanced integration and AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and modernize enterprise integration systems using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and CloudHub 2.0.
- Architect and deploy applications on CloudHub 2.0, utilizing its containerized runtime, deployment strategies, observability, and CI/CD integrations.
- Develop intelligent workflow orchestration using MuleSoft Agent Fabric and Salesforce Agentforce (Einstein 1 Platform).
- Lead initiatives to refactor legacy monolithic systems into microservices-based, event-driven architectures.
- Implement secure and reusable REST-based APIs with robust security measures.
- Design comprehensive error handling, resiliency strategies, and fault-tolerant integration patterns.
- Develop and execute automated test routines (unit, system, functional testing).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex distributed integration issues.
- Optimize integration processes for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams on automated testing and CI/CD workflows.
- Stay current with advancements in MuleSoft, Salesforce AI, and integration technologies.
- Participate in on-call support and provide technical leadership during production incidents.
- Lead migration from CloudHub 1.0 to 2.0.
- Experience and familiarity with Claude Code or MuleSoft Dev Agent to develop workflows in MuleSoft.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise integration and distributed systems design.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Strong hands-on experience with CloudHub 2.0 architecture and deployment models.
- Proven experience building intelligent agent-driven workflows using MuleSoft Agent Fabric and Salesforce Agentforce (Einstein 1 Platform).
- Demonstrated experience refactoring legacy monolithic systems into microservices-based architectures.
- Strong knowledge of API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous messaging patterns (e.g., Anypoint MQ, Kafka).
- Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and scaling them.
- Solid understanding of API security, integration patterns, and data transformation techniques.
- Experience with Python/Golang programming and MuleSoft DataWeave transformation language.
- Ability to work with various data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
- Experience with Mule 3 to Mule 4 migration projects is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- MuleSoft Certification(s) is a plus.
