Role: Guidewire Business Analyst (Product Owner / Lead BA)
We are seeking a highly experienced Product Owner / Business Analyst with deep expertise in General Liability (GL) and Commercial Lines (with strong emphasis on Rating) to drive requirements, stakeholder alignment, and product delivery in a Guidewire environment. This role is crucial for managing the product backlog, prioritizing features, and ensuring that the Guidewire solutions align with business needs and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Product Owner / Lead BA for Commercial Lines, with a focus on a GL-heavy portfolio.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, including BRDs, FRDs, and User Stories.
- Lead the definition of rating requirements, encompassing pricing rules, algorithms, and underwriting inputs.
- Collaborate closely with actuarial, underwriting, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and understanding.
- Own and manage the product backlog, including prioritization and sprint planning.
- Translate complex business needs into Guidewire-compatible solutions.
- Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support and business validation processes.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory and state-specific filings.
- Facilitate communication and understanding between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in General Liability (GL) insurance.
- Deep understanding of the Commercial Lines insurance lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with rating engines and pricing models.
- Experience working with Guidewire (PolicyCenter preferred).
- Agile/Scrum experience, functioning as a Product Owner or Senior BA.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to Guidewire Rating or integration with external rating engines.
- Experience in the US Insurance market.
- Familiarity with Guidewire’s broader ecosystem.
