Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Test Lead with strong AS400 testing expertise and deep knowledge of the U.S. Healthcare Payer Claims Adjudication domain. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of domain expertise, technical testing skills, and leadership experience to drive testing efforts within Agile environments.

Required Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in AS400 testing
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, claims adjudication processes, and plan benefit setups
  • Hands-on experience with AS400/Mainframe applications
  • Mandatory: Experience in U.S. Payer Claims Adjudication domain
  • Prior experience leading testing projects

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with test management tools such as Jira, ALM, and Rally
  • Experience in API testing using tools like SoapUI and Postman
  • Exposure to automation testing using Selenium or Playwright
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Ability to perform impact analysis and provide timely resolution or escalation
  • Experience in creating reports and dashboards for stakeholders
  • Exposure to test strategy design for complex business scenarios

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and perform gap analysis for integration applications
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies, including:
    • Test objectives
    • Test assumptions
    • Test principles
    • Data approach
  • Define scope and levels of testing, including:
    • Exploratory testing
    • Functional testing
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Finalize test acceptance criteria, deliverables, and milestones
  • Design test automation and execution strategies, including test data and environment planning
  • Conduct walkthroughs of project deliverables with stakeholders and obtain approvals
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams on test execution and code validation
  • Review test plans, test cases, and test results

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)

Location: Hartford, AR
