Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Robotic Lab Technician to join our team. This role is crucial for managing and supporting daily operations within our robotics laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for hands-on work, a familiarity with robotic systems, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized lab environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of all robotic hardware, components, tools, and equipment.
- Perform hands-on assembly, disassembly, and reconfiguration of robotic systems and associated test setups according to specifications and drawings.
- Ensure the lab is clean, organized, and fully equipped for daily operations, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Assist with the setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of robotic systems.
- Support teleoperation activities, including system setup, monitoring, and basic operational checks.
- Collaborate effectively with robotics engineers and operators during testing phases and data collection efforts.
- Maintain detailed operational logs, track equipment usage, and ensure all activities comply with established safety standards and procedures.
- Perform basic electrical wiring, cable management, and routine power and system checks to ensure operational readiness.
- Interpret CAD files and layout drawings to facilitate assembly, setup, and maintenance tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Robotics, Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience working with robotic, electromechanical, or automated systems.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and proper equipment handling procedures.
- Ability to meticulously follow structured procedures and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Some experience or exposure to teleoperation systems or remote robot control is a plus.
- Comfort and capability in performing hands-on mechanical tasks, including repetitive actions.
- Ability to read and understand CAD and layout drawings.
- Strong organizational skills, particularly in managing inventory and assets.
- Prior experience in robotics labs, manufacturing, or industrial automation environments is preferred.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $50,000 – $80,000 per year (Estimated)
