Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master with a strong background in the BFSI domain to facilitate Agile delivery for cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring Scrum practices are followed, removing impediments, enabling continuous improvement, and driving effective collaboration between business and technology stakeholders. This role requires a proactive and ownership-driven mindset, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Coach the team on Agile and Scrum principles, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Act as a servant leader, removing impediments and helping the team stay focused on sprint goals.
- Partner closely with Product Owners to ensure a well-groomed and prioritized backlog.
- Track and report Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown/burnup charts, and sprint health.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers and proactively escalate when required.
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and actionable outcomes.
- Coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders in a scaled Agile environment.
- Ensure compliance with client, security, and governance requirements, especially in BFSI setups.
- Support release planning and cross-team alignment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 10 years overall experience, with at least 3 years as a Scrum Master.
- Domain experience in BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance).
- Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe is a plus).
- Experience working with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work with onshore/offshore teams and client stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in BFSI regulated environments is preferred.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
- PMI ACP (good to have)

Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
Location: Mount Laurel, NJ
