Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team for a long-term contract role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable solutions that process large volumes of data and transactions. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, data streaming, and database management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-performance Java applications leveraging GCP services.
- Design and implement data processing pipelines using Kafka and BigQuery.
- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance and scalability.
- Integrate AI technologies to automate task-based work and enhance application capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver robust software solutions.
- Ensure code quality, security, and adherence to best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Top Skills / Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 9+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java.
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services, particularly BigQuery.
- Proficiency in using Kafka for data streaming and processing.
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, optimization, and management.
- Proven experience in developing solutions that process large transaction volumes efficiently.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and experience in replacing task-based work with AI solutions, including coding automation.
- Familiarity with reporting/analytical applications and operational applications.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and best practices.
Special Requirements
Remote (Must be EST zone only), H4-EAD OR L2-EAD only, 1 online assessment, 1-2 virtual rounds
Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
