Role: Power BI Developer – SQL
We are seeking an experienced SQL / Power BI Developer with a strong background in data analytics and business intelligence to join our team. The role involves working closely with Data Modernization teams within ITD and DPH to design, develop, and maintain impactful Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with business and technical objectives. This is a hybrid role located in Raleigh, North Carolina, with a duration of 12+ months.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Write and optimize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for data modeling and reporting.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.
- Convert large and complex datasets into meaningful visual insights (charts, graphs, maps).
- Integrate data from multiple sources (cloud platforms, data lakes, Excel, etc.).
- Manage and configure On-Premises Data Gateway.
- Ensure data security, governance, and best practices within Power BI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data modernization initiatives.
Required Qualifications (Mandatory):
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI, Data Analytics, BI, or Data Science.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI dashboards and DAX.
- Expertise in RDBMS (Oracle or MS SQL Server).
- Advanced SQL skills (queries, joins, stored procedures).
- Experience handling large datasets (AWS Data Lake or similar platforms).
- Knowledge of data integration and ODBC connectors.
- Strong understanding of data visualization and reporting best practices.
- Must be local with a Driver’s License (DL).
- Experience working with State/Government clients is required.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
