Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Public Safety Monitoring & Automation Engineer to support a large-scale, mission-critical public safety environment. This role focuses on enterprise monitoring, automation, and patch management across thousands of endpoints, ensuring high availability and security for critical systems. The position is based in Brooklyn, NY, with an onsite work mode.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and support the BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA / BladeLogic) environment.
- Plan, schedule, and execute enterprise-wide server patching across Windows and Linux systems.
- Coordinate patching for critical systems, including call-taking environments, without service disruption.
- Manage BMC Client Management (BCM) for endpoint patching, deployment, and configuration.
- Support and maintain BMC Discovery (ADDM) for asset discovery, tracking, and integration with CMDB.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and respond to zero-day threats.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash/Shell, and Python.
- Standardize workstation builds and support OS deployment (bare-metal provisioning).
- Drive asset discovery and eliminate manual tracking through automation across large environments.
- Maintain compliance, governance, and configuration baselines across infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in IT engineering or infrastructure roles.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with BMC automation tools (TrueSight / BladeLogic).
- Strong expertise in server patching and lifecycle management in enterprise environments.
- Deep knowledge of BMC TrueSight Server Automation administration and operations.
- Experience with BMC Client Management (BCM) and endpoint management.
- Hands-on experience with BMC Discovery (ADDM) and CMDB integration.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash/Shell, and/or Python.
- Experience with CMDB, asset management, and data reconciliation processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PXE / OS deployment (OSD).
- TPL scripting experience.
- Windows patch management and software distribution.
- Configuration management and compliance (Windows/UNIX).
- Experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).

Compensation & Location
Salary: $65 – $85 per year (Estimated)
