Role: ServiceNow DPR Tech Lead
We are looking for a senior techno-functional ServiceNow DPR Tech Lead to join our team. This role is based in Fort Mill, SC, with an on-site requirement of 3 days per week. This is a contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess existing Release Management processes and DPR configurations, comparing them to ServiceNow and industry best practices.
- Lead the design and delivery of scalable ServiceNow DPR, Change, and Release Management solutions.
- Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in current processes.
- Compare current implementation against ServiceNow OOTB capabilities and best practices, defining a targeted remediation roadmap.
- Lead solution design by mapping business requirements to ServiceNow platform capabilities, including DPR, Change, and DevOps integrations.
- Conduct requirements, scoping, and design workshops, ensuring clear documentation and alignment.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, including development of complex configurations (Business Rules, Script Includes, integrations, workspaces, portals).
- Configure and optimize DPR modules, including release templates, tasks, approvals, and governance.
- Serve in a delivery assurance role, overseeing design, development, testing, and quality of all deliverables.
- Create and deliver executive-ready assessments, recommendations, and demonstrations.
Must Have Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on ServiceNow development experience delivering complex enterprise solutions.
- Deep expertise in Change and Release Management.
- Strong experience with Digital Product Release (DPR), including DevOps integration and DPR configuration.
- Proven ability to perform best practice assessments and current state evaluations.
- Ability to translate business needs into pragmatic, scalable ServiceNow solutions.
The ServiceNow DPR Tech Lead will be responsible for evaluating current state release processes and DPR configurations, identifying areas for improvement, and aligning them with ServiceNow and industry best practices. This role involves leading the design and implementation of robust ServiceNow DPR, Change, and Release Management solutions that are scalable and effective.
Key activities include conducting thorough assessments of existing processes, identifying potential risks and gaps, and developing a clear roadmap for remediation. The Tech Lead will guide solution design by translating business requirements into functional ServiceNow capabilities, with a focus on DPR, Change Management, and DevOps integrations. This will involve leading workshops, ensuring comprehensive documentation, and maintaining alignment among stakeholders.
Hands-on technical leadership is a critical component of this role, encompassing the development of advanced configurations such as Business Rules, Script Includes, integrations, workspaces, and portals. The Tech Lead will also be responsible for configuring and optimizing DPR modules, including the setup of release templates, tasks, approvals, and governance workflows. A delivery assurance role will ensure the quality and successful execution of all project deliverables, from design through testing.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, having successfully delivered complex enterprise-level solutions. A deep understanding of Change and Release Management principles is essential, as is strong experience with Digital Product Release (DPR), including its integration with DevOps practices and configuration nuances. The ability to conduct effective best practice assessments and current state evaluations, and to translate complex business needs into practical, scalable ServiceNow solutions, is paramount.
This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. The Tech Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our ServiceNow implementations related to DPR, Change, and Release Management.

Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
