Job Summary

Own and operate our BI platforms across Power BI (incl. Microsoft Fabric & Power Platform) and Tableau. Support high-quality models/reports/dashboards, assist with migration project from Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud.

Key Duties

  • Administer Power BI Service/Microsoft Fabric and Tableau Cloud (plus any legacy Tableau Server).
  • Manage workspaces/sites, permissions, RLS/OLS, certification, refresh schedules, and data connectivity (Gateways/Bridge).
  • Lead Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud migration: inventory, content clean up, identity/permissions mapping, Bridge setup, schedule cutover.
  • Build/review semantic models, datasets, dataflows, and dashboards; set standards for modeling, performance, and accessibility.
  • Implement GitHub integration for Power BI (.pbip) and CI/CD (branching/PRs, deployment pipelines, GitHub Actions).
  • Monitor capacity/usage/costs; troubleshoot incidents; publish health/adoption/admin dashboards.
  • Partner with Security/IT on governance (sensitivity labels, DLP, auditing) and with analysts on enablement/training.

Core Skills & Requirements

  • Strong Power BI administration and development (DAX, Power Query/M, dataflows, semantic models; deployment pipelines; XMLA familiarity).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (capacities/workspaces, OneLake concepts, Dataflows Gen2; Lakehouse/Warehouse awareness).
  • Power Platform basics for BI (Power Automate integrations, environment/DLP awareness).
  • Proven Tableau admin skills (Cloud/Server, sites/projects, permissions, extracts/schedules) and hands-on dashboard/data source development.
  • Direct experience migrating Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud, including Tableau Bridge for on-prem data.
  • GitHub based SDLC for Power BI: Git integration for .pbip, branching/PRs, versioning, and automated deployments.
  • Security & governance: RLS/OLS, sensitivity labels, auditing; identity/SSO with Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Scripting/automation comfort (PowerShell/Python) and use of Power BI/Tableau REST APIs.
  • Clear documentation, stakeholder communication, and troubleshooting skills.

Special Requirements

Onsite Role. Requires migration experience from Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud. Candidate must provide work authorization/visa status.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $124,800 – $145,600 per year (Estimated)
