About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer to join our team. This role involves planning, designing, and executing performance tests to ensure the scalability, stability, and responsiveness of our applications. You will work closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive Performance Test Plans, Test Strategies, and Test Scenarios aligned with the Non Functional Requirements (NFRs).
- Design, script, and execute performance tests using tools such as NeoLoad, JMeter.
- Plan and conduct various types of performance tests, including Load, Stress, Soak/Endurance, Scalability, and Spike Testing.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations to improve system performance and scalability.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance using tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and New Relic.
- Drive observability best practices across logs, metrics, and tracing.
- Execute performance tests across AWS or Azure environments.
- Support integration of performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, architects, DevOps, and product teams to ensure performance readiness.
- Proactively communicate risks, requirements, and test outcomes with the project team and leadership.
- Provide regular status reports, including monthly updates and communication of critical developments.
- Mentor team members and contribute to building a high-performance culture.
- Demonstrated success as a self-starter with strong ownership.
- Ability to collaborate and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
Primary Skills:
- Strong understanding of Performance Test Planning, Test Strategy creation, and scenario design.
- Ability to interpret Non Functional Requirements (NFRs) and translate them into measurable test objectives.
- Hands-on expertise with NeoLoad (preferred), JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Strong experience conducting: Load Testing, Stress Testing, Endurance/Soak Testing, Spike Testing, Scalability Testing. Skilled in configuring test workloads, test data, and execution environments.
- Ability to analyze performance results and recommend performance improvements and tuning strategies.
- Hands-on experience with APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and New Relic.
- Experience executing performance tests in AWS or Azure environments.
- Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools.
- Demonstrated success as a self-starter with strong ownership.
- Ability to collaborate and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
Secondary Skills:
- Utility domain or Kraken knowledge.
- Develop Grafana dashboards for performance monitoring.
- Mentor team members and contribute to building a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, architects, DevOps, and product teams to ensure performance readiness.
Special Requirements
Contract duration: 6 months. Domain knowledge: Utility or Kraken. Tools: NeoLoad, JMeter, LoadRunner, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana. Cloud: AWS, Azure. CI/CD integration.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $50 – $70 per year (Estimated)
