Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with Flink experience for a contract position located in San Leandro, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing web applications using Java, J2EE, and related technologies, with a significant focus on Flink, MongoDB, and Kafka. You will be responsible for requirement analysis, application design, and building robust, scalable enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using Java, J2EE, Servlets, Spring, Spring MVC, and Spring JDBC.
- Perform requirement analysis and application design for new and existing systems.
- Implement solutions using MongoDB, Flink, and Kafka.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and Java Microservices using Spring Boot.
- Participate actively in Agile practices, including daily stand-ups and Scrum ceremonies.
- Ensure accountability to the software development team for timely delivery and quality.
- Develop applications with a focus on usability principles, cross-browser compatibility, and web security.
- Build large, multi-system, enterprise-level applications.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of demonstrated experience in developing web applications using Java, J2EE, Servlets, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, database interactions, and related testing tools/methodologies.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in requirement analysis and application design.
- Must have experience with MongoDB, Flink, and Kafka.
- Proficiency in RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, and Java Microservices.
- Experience with Agile practices, daily Stand-Up/Scrum.
- Experience developing applications with good usability principles, cross-browser compatibility, web security (XSRF, cross-site scripting defense), accessibility, Markup standards, Last mile performance (minify, closure tools, sprites), and HTML document architecture.
- Experience building large multi-system, enterprise applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
