Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced OCI Windows Administrator to join our client’s team for an onsite contract role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, migration, tuning, patching, administration, and monitoring of Windows environments. This role also involves performance tuning, hardware upgrades, resource optimization, and ensuring high availability of Windows VMs. Experience with OCI Linux administration, network administration, and cloud administration is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform server installation, configuration, migrations, tuning, patching, administration, and monitoring as a Windows Administrator.
- Conduct performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization to ensure high availability of Windows VMs.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Configure and add new services as necessary.
- Handle certificate renewals, encryption, and OS-related security vulnerabilities, including remediation as per policies.
- Develop and maintain documentation and SOPs for cloud environments and deployments.
- Collaborate effectively with infrastructure teams, application development teams, testing, and release teams.
- Actively participate during migrations of applications, databases, and BCP/DR drills.
- Ensure all administrative procedures are followed and maintain server uptime and performance.
- OCI Linux Admin: Installation, configuration, and migration of RedHat Oracle Enterprise Linux, disk and file system management, user management, package management, YUM configuration, OS patching, security monitoring, performance tuning, and resource optimization.
- Basic knowledge of Networking and Subnet, network management and troubleshooting, NFS, SSH, FTP, Sendmail, NTP, and DNS services, IP Tables/Firewalld.
- Experience in directory services like LDAP.
- Experience in Shell Scripting and Ansible Automation is an advantage.
- Knowledge in pacemaker cluster administration is an advantage.
- OCI Network Admin: Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) provisioning and management, subnet creation and management, network security groups, network troubleshooting, network optimization, network scalability, network integration, and load balancer deployment.
- OCI Cloud Admin: Manage and operate Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments for enterprise workloads. Administer OCI Compute instances, Block Volume, etc.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Windows Administrator with OCI experience.
- Experience with Linux administration, particularly RHEL.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Wawatosa, WI.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $75,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
