Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Golang Backend Developer to join our client’s team in San Francisco, CA. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite, with a preference for local candidates. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend development, microservices, and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Golang (Go).
- Build and deploy scalable microservices architecture.
- Optimize database performance, particularly with MySQL.
- Develop and manage APIs using RESTful principles or GraphQL.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Utilize AWS cloud services for deployment and management of applications.
- Work with TypeScript for front-end or related backend tasks as needed.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Nx monorepo, if applicable.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the backend stack.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 6-10 years of relevant backend development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Golang (Go) with advanced features.
- Expertise in building and deploying microservices architecture.
- Experience with AWS cloud environment.
- Proficiency in MySQL and database optimization.
- Experience in API development (REST/GraphQL).
- Knowledge of TypeScript.
- Experience with unit & integration testing.
- Familiarity with Nx monorepo is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Employment Type
Hybrid role, accepting various visa types including CPT, EAD, etc. (Specifics may vary).
Location
San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite). Local candidates are preferred.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
